The Kote Anjaneya Temple in Halvagalu (PIN 583213) is a serene and spiritually uplifting Hanuman shrine situated in the heart of Karnataka. It resonates with deep devotion and natural beauty, making it a must-visit for devotees and temple travelers alike.

This sacred temple is especially memorable for me because it blends spiritual energy with a soulful journey through nature, lasting long after the darshan is over.

Temple Significance & Unique Features

At the Kote Anjaneya Temple, Lord Hanuman is worshipped in a form that feels distinctively alive and powerful.
Devotees often notice a striking feature:

My Personal Travel Experience to Halvagalu

We began our trip to this temple early in the morning. Though the road was a bit rough, the journey turned out to be deeply rewarding.

Here’s how the experience unfolded:

On the way to Halvagalu, we drove through vast paddy and sugarcane fields, with roads framed by lush green scenery on both sides. The breeze was cool, and because the route has minimal traffic, it felt like a peaceful countryside escape.

Despite starting early, the journey took longer than expected due to the road conditions, and we reached the temple around 4 PM — exactly when the sun began to mellow and the atmosphere became even more serene.

The moment we entered the temple premises, a sense of joy and energy washed over us — a feeling that only places of true devotion can inspire.

Near by there is another big temple of Anjaneya, Idol which resembles same as that of kote anjaneya but in big size.

There is special attraction towards this Hanuman, which is different from others idols and also holding bell at the edge of the tail. After visiting this place feeling energized. We came across Tungabhadra river and also visited Guddada Timmappa temple on the bank of the river.

Route & Accessibility

There are two popular routes to reach Kote Anjaneya Temple, Halvagalu:

Route 1 – From Haveri (Scenic Countryside Drive)

Haveri → Agadi → Basapur → Guttal → Mylara → Kuruvatti → Halvagalu
